A family winery in Rematia, Farsala, in the heart of Thessaly
Magnus Winery is located in Rematia, approximately 10 km outside the town of Farsala, in the Thessaly region of central Greece. The name Magnus derives from the Latin adjective for "great" — a reference to the family name, Magalios.
The first experimental vines were planted in 2007 by Vissarion Magalios. In 2018, together with his son Giorgos, they established the winery and distillery in a small building in Rematia. Since then, the two generations have managed the estate together, gradually expanding the vineyard plantings.

The vineyards are organically farmed and are spread across three different altitudes: 150m, 250m and 350m. White varieties include Malagousia, Chardonnay, Assyrtiko and Sauvignon Blanc; red varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache Rouge and Muscat Hamburg.
The winery produces white, rosé (dry and off-dry) and red wines, as well as aged tsipouro. Annual production is around 15,000 bottles.
